I've noticed that after starting the upgrade, the E makes it normal whirry noice and then for a plit second I get a (Not Responding) message in the top right hand corner of the screen. Wondering whether there is somethin to do with ommunication between the 2 devices which is not quite right. FYI.My wife's cricut express had not been updated for a long time as her desk top MAC has an old OS version. We had to hook it up to a PC and load the Design Studio but my PC would not recognize the cricut and ran the Trouble Shoot with no help. I found out that my PC was missing ftd2xx.dll files.

I did a google search and down load the DLL's (www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/D2XX.htm‎) and bam it found the cricut. Now it is doing the update. Next will be going back to the MAC and doing update on the Craft Room. Thanks for the help.
