First of all, the SH3 Commander. A must have, gives you a lot of extra options for gamesettings The Generic Mod Enabler, for easier activation/deactivation of your mods. SB_cameras_mod_SH3, free walk camera on the bridge. GWX 3.0 Gold, a absolute must have. Total conversion of the game towards realism. The mod enabler is installed with GWX. You need some cfg files for the Commander if you use it with GWX.

Some extra pack with emblems for your boat, there are both realistic and fantasy packs. GWX commes with a lot of extras to flavor the game as you like;). SH3 Commander (although not strictly a mod) and GWX 3.0 are essential, there are other 'supermods' such as Living Silent Hunter 3, NYGM etc but GWX is the best overall experience in my opinion.
